WANTED: New Venues

The Fiddlers' Tour is always open to new veneus!

At the moment, we are looking for locations in the Colonie, Guilderland, or Delmar areas.

If you own (or know of) a restaurant or pub, or another business open to the public at night, that would be intererested in hosting the Fiddlers' Tour, please let us know by contacting the people listed at the bottom of this page.

We offer a night of enjoyable music in trade for a location where we can gather and continue to spread the music.

Since the Fiddlers' Tour is an open jam, and is made up of over 30 musicians (average night -- 20-25 but has had 32 on good nights), we find that there are certain concerns that must be addressed when looking for a new place to play:

What does the Tour need?

The following is a list of items that we have found to be helpful in finding new locations:

• Open to the public
• Open until 10 or 11pm every Tuesday night for one month. (A few musicians often enjoy playing until 11pm, if it's acceptable to the establishment.)
• Room for 30 musicians (cases, etc.). (Can the venue handle the extra load AND still have room for customers?)
• Good parking (can location handle an extra 25+ cars? Good off-street parking, or a parking lot is needed.)
• Food or drinks available? Though this is not required at a location, many members (and their friends/family) will come for dinner prior to playing.
